No Obedience, No True Comfort

“If you do deny God in your obedience, God in justice will deny you in your peace and comforts; he that will not work shall not eat. As it is true in worldly things, so it is also true in spiritual things; if you do not your duties towards God, God will suspend the comforts of your graces from you; if you do your duty toward God, you shall eat of the promised Land: if you will not let the Spirit of God work and operate in you in its sanctifying work, God will not let you enjoy in your souls the comforting work of His Spirit” – Christopher Love
